We may collect information you provide directly to Poolr, including when you create an account, create a pool, join a pool, submit picks, update your profile, contact support, or use Poolr features.
- Name, display name, or username
- Email address
- Phone number, if you choose to provide one
- Account login and authentication information
- Pool names, team names, picks, pool rules, leaderboard activity, and tournament-related activity
- Payment-related information processed by our third-party payment provider
- Messages, support requests, feedback, or other communications you send to us
- Device, browser, log, and usage information needed to operate, secure, and improve Poolr
2. How We Use Information
We use information to operate, maintain, secure, and improve Poolr, including to:
- Create and manage user accounts
- Allow users to create, join, and manage golf pools
- Allow users to submit picks and participate in tournament pools
- Display pool rules, picks, leaderboards, standings, and results
- Process Poolr software purchases, premium pool access, and subscriptions
- Send account, pool, pick, tournament, leaderboard, and final result notifications
- Provide customer support and respond to user requests
- Monitor, troubleshoot, protect, and improve Poolr features and performance
- Protect against fraud, abuse, unauthorized activity, and security issues
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations
3. Text Message Notifications
If you provide your phone number and choose to receive text messages, Poolr may send transactional text messages related to your account, pools, tournament reminders, pick submissions, leaderboard updates, and final results.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary. You may reply STOP to opt out of text messages or HELP for help. Opting out of SMS messages may prevent you from receiving certain Poolr notifications by text message, but you may still use Poolr.
Poolr does not sell, rent, or share SMS opt-in consent, mobile numbers, or text messaging originator opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
4. Payments
Poolr uses third-party payment processors to process purchases, premium pool access, and subscriptions. Poolr does not store full credit card numbers. Payment information is handled by the applicable payment provider according to its own terms and privacy practices.
Poolr charges for software access and platform features. Poolr does not collect, hold, manage, distribute, or process prize pools, wagers, bets, winnings, entry fees, or user-to-user payments.
5. Service Providers
We may share limited information with trusted service providers that help us operate Poolr. These may include providers for hosting, databases, authentication, payment processing, messaging, email, analytics, logging, security, customer support, and tournament data.
These service providers are only permitted to use information as needed to provide services to Poolr and are not permitted to use your personal information for their own independent marketing purposes.
6. We Do Not Sell Personal Information
Poolr does not sell your personal information. Poolr does not share your personal information, SMS opt-in consent, mobile number, or phone number with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide Poolr, operate our business, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, maintain security, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information associated with your Poolr account. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
You may opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP to any Poolr text message. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails, if any, by using the unsubscribe link included in those emails.
10. Account Deletion
Users may request account deletion by contacting Poolr support. If account deletion is available directly inside the Poolr app or website, users may also initiate deletion through their account settings. We may retain certain information when required or permitted for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or business record purposes.
11. Children's Privacy
Poolr is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of Poolr after changes are posted means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
